Food Trip: La Cocina de Tita Moning

When Arman asked what I wanted for my birthday, my immediate response was “Dinner at La Cocina. I’ll make the reservations!”

The house was built in 1937. He had no idea why I wanted to dine in an old house. My reasons? (1) I could reserve early to attend the grand tour of the house, (2) the house servers serve authentic Filipino dishes – some of the servers were the Legarda’s faithful servants, (3) Dr. Alejandro Legarda (the original owner of the house) owned several antique cameras and was one of the founding members of the Camera Club of the Philippines. The third reason was reason enough for me to go, hence he did not argue much further.

Arman picked me up after my color management photography lessons in Greenhills. We bought some gadgets in VMall, and we were soon on our way to Malacanang – to experience our best dinner ever. My fave? — the Osso Buco Gremolata with White Wine and the Saffron Risotto. Loved Tita Monings Bread Pudding too. Yu–mmyyyy!
